Just a reminder that this week is full of minimum days! Below is the week's schedule. Please remember that Wednesday is not a late start day. Everyone student should be at school at 8:15am.

Week 13 Newsletter

It's hard to believe that the first trimester is already over! The year is flying by! This week we used acrylic paints of the first time to create shadowing on our pumpkin portraits, we put together our book club Bloom's Balls, and learned a little about the First Thanksgiving. It was a short week, since we have Friday off in remembrance of Veteran's Day.

I also started Report Card conferences this week! I look forward to meeting with all of you over the next week. Please check the Sign Up for your times, if you do not remember.

Next week is a short week full of minimum days. Monday is the only full day of school and the students will have Band & Strings.

Weekly News: Week 12

Report Card Conferences
This week was the last week of the 1st trimester. I will be working on report cards and our conferences begin on Wednesday, November 9th. Today your student brought home with them a reminder of your conference time. Keep in mind that conferences are 20 minutes in length. We will discuss your child's report card, as well as their overall progress so far.

Outdoor Ed
On Wednesday we had the informational meeting about Outdoor Ed. Thank you to all of you who were able to attend. A letter went home today stating some important information about the upcoming trip. The letter can also be viewed digitally HERE. The cost for Outdoor Ed is $320 and it is due prior to Monday, December 12th.

Our class will be attending Outdoor Ed from Monday, February 6th through Wednesday, February 8th.  We will need 8 parents to chaperone. If you are interested in being considered as a chaperone, please go HERE and submit your name by Friday, November 11th.

More information regarding Outdoor Ed will be sent home in the coming weeks.

November Conferences

Our parent-teacher conferences are beginning in a few weeks. Thank you to all of you who have already signed up for a time. I look forward to meeting with each and every one of you.

If you have not signed up for a conference time yet, please go HERE, and choose one of the open time slots. If for any reason you need to change your existing time, you should be able to edit your appointment.

Weekly News

Outdoor Ed

On Thursday a packet of information regarding Outdoor Ed was sent home with your student. Included in the packet was:

• our class dates (January 27-29, 2016), 
• the donation amount of $320 made payable to PUSD, 
• as well as 2 important field trip forms ( blue & pink). Please make sure you fill out both the blue & pink field trip forms, and have your student bring them to school. 
• I will also be collecting any Exploring New Horizons t-shirts or sweatshirts forms.

You were also sent an email on Thursday, containing this link, HERE, which takes you to Pigeon Point's online medical form. Please fill this out for your child.

Conferences

Next Monday, November 16th is the beginning of Parent Teacher Conferences. To remind yourself of your appointment time, please click the link, HERE. We will be meeting in the classroom, Room 12C, which is upstairs.  I look forward to meeting with all of you.

Thanksgiving Break

There is no school on Friday, November 20th through Friday, November 27th. School resumes on Monday, November 30th.

Report Card Conferences

Just a reminder...

Report Card Conferences are next week, November 17-20th. The time and date you selected for your conference can be found HERE, at Sign Up Genius. You should also be getting a reminder email from Sign Up Genius a few days prior to your conference as a reminder.

Due to conferences, next week features 3 minimum days on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Students will come to school from 8:15-12:30 on those days. There is no late start on Wednesday next week. Friday there is no school for the students.

I'm looking forward to meeting with all of you to discuss your child's grades for the 1st trimester.
