Week 11 Newsletter

Today was our very first speech of the year: Pumpkin Speeches! Everyone brought in a pumpkin they had carved or decorated and then told a narrative story about their pumpkin. We had some very creative and interesting pumpkin characters and everyone did a great job giving a speech in the front of the room.

We are also nearing the end of the first trimester. Time is going by so quickly! Report card conferences are fast approaching. You can sign up for a conference time HERE or just confirm your appointment. I look forward to meeting with all of you in a few weeks.

Outdoor Ed Tomorrow!

It's finally here!

After weeks of talking about it, we are finally heading to Outdoor Ed tomorrow.

Please have your student at the front of the school/flag pole area by 7:40am for a 8:00am departure tomorrow.
  • Luggage and sleeping bag should be labeled with first and last names.
  • A small backpack for hiking should have your student's water bottle, book, camera, and a sweatshirt.

We are going to Boulder Creek. The temperature is supposed to be in the 60s and low 70s. Please pack layers for your kids as it can get cool at night.

I will be tweeting pictures from camp, depending on the wireless access. My hope is that you will get a chance to see what we are experiencing at camp every day. Check our class twitter page (or class website) for newest updates.

On Friday, our hope is to return to school by the 2:50pm dismissal. For the newest time updates, please contact the school office as they will know when we are on our way.
