Hometown: My family moved to Pleasanton in 1985, and I truly love this town. My parents still live in Pleasanton (in my childhood home!), while I have a house in Livermore. Pleasanton (and the Tri-Valley) has been my home for over 30 years. As a kid in Pleasanton I played basketball, I was even on PMS's 7th grade team. I also played soccer for 13 years from the ages of 5-18. I have many fond memories of my childhood in Pleasanton.
Hobbies: I am a bit of a technology nerd, so I am always looking for new ways to incorporate exciting technologies into the classroom to help create passionate learners. The summer of 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2018 I attended the Google Apps for Education Summit, and I am also a Fellow of the Merit Program from Foothill College. I am excited to utilize these tools in the classroom, and in our brand new computer lab! Outside of the classroom I love working on projects at my house, spending time with family and friends, taking care of my two cats: Darcy and Kitten, going to the movies, reading on my iPad or Kindle, writing, and traveling. I love traveling. Last summer I spent a week in Barcelona, Spain with family, and then later spent two weeks discovering Japan. I'm looking forward to another great school year!
